I have a Samsung ht-q100, and there is no way to control the amount of bass coming from the subwoofer. Right now I am not happy with the performance, I can't feel or hear the bass(it's hooked up right). Most of the time you don't even realize it's there.

Does it matter where the sub is placed? Here is a picture of where it is now.

the green circle is where it's at now, the red arrow is where I think I should put it.

You are going to need to experiment with the placement of your sub. You have a difficult room, but a good start is where you already proposed.

That definitely helped. I played a THX bass tester and a heavy bass rap song, and stuff on the back wall was vibrating.

Experiment with the port facing out and then towards the wall.
