I'm a college kid. I can't afford nice® things. I currently have a 8 yr. old 21" Sony Trinitron. For audio I have an H/K AVR 320 and a couple of Paradigm Titan V.3s. I can't afford high definition but would like a larger t.v. I live in a small apartment so it doesn't have to be huge. How bad would it be to buy like a 27 or 32" CRT with component connections just untill i graduate?

What kind of budget are we talking? You can get a 30" widescreen HD Sanyo CRT TV from Wal Mart for $450. For $29 more you can get a 2 year extended warranty, giving 3 years of warranty total. It has built in analog and digital tuners. PQ is pretty amazing for the price. Best part is it upconverts all signals to 1080i, so even poor quality sources look pretty darn good.
