In the middle of watching a show, there was a weird popping (static) sound and the audio quit. No storms in the area. the sound system is hooked up to an Hitachi 42" plasma TV as well as a Samsung DVD and a JVC VCR. Sound is fine when playing a DVD movie or an audio CD. Did not try the VCR. More concerned about lack of sound from TV. Any ideas?
No speakers in the TV. That's what the sound system was for. Husband just walked in the door with a new Yamaha RX-V359 AV Receiver. If it works there could be a JVC 6042 on e-Bay. Ha. Thanks for the reply. I also may be back with a question about the new one.
