The RX-V659 is a very capable receiver and a good one as well. I have this for almost a month now and it serves me very well. I am happy with my purchase. My comment is, it runs so HOT. Never realize it after I accidentally touch it after one full movie. It is very hot.
I am not so sure about the heat issue. It seems normal, but compare to my old one (5.1) which runs cooler. I heard that Denon and the Marantz also runs very hot after 3 hours of constant use.
I use B&W CM1 for front; Heco Signature D'Appolito for Center; Bose AM5II as surround; and Magnat Sub. My setup is 5.1 and I am not using the 6th and the 7th channel. Anybody thinks this might be the cause of heating?
