I have a Durabrand STS 98 theatre in a box and am trying to hook my xbox up to it. I can't seem to figure it out, I have an extra set of wires, and I can get sound, just no picture. If I try and hook it up using the VCR, I don't get the surround sound. I've spent almost an hour on this, so if anyone can help I'd appreciate it.

Connect the video output of the xbox directly to the TV.

there's a problem with that, the cord doesn't separate, so I can't hook it up to the front on the TV. Anybody else available?

Check if you have a video or a monitor output on your HT system.

Connect all the cords from the xbox to the receiver. Use another video/RCA cable from the monitor output to your TV.

Ok, there's 2 spaces for the three pronged wires that come with the xbox system. I looked on the back and put them in the input, and then put the dvd on input, and tried that, I got sound but no picture. FRUSTRATION.

Is there a video cable (yellow jack) connected to your TV at all?
