Power hum & POP, lack of planning?

New member Username: UptwospeedFL USA Post Number: 1 Registered: Apr-06 | I had a separate circuit installed when my house was being built for the home theater components. I think I should have had the whole room on a separate circuit. I have noise coming from my subs. When I turn on the fan there is a loud pop out of the subs. The subs have 3 pins on the power cord. I tried a monster Cable power conditioner level 4 and it did almost nothing to help. What can I do? I think I can hear the microwave when it turns on downstairs. I was thinking about adding a whole house surge protector since I live in Florida but will it do any noise suppression? |

Silver Member Username: MccambleyBREEZY POINT, NY USA Post Number: 147 Registered: Jun-05 | I had a similiar problem with a sub and simply add a gray 3 prong to 2 prong adapter to the sub plug and the hum was greatly reduced. |
