hi guys,

this is my first post and i think this board rocks!

i'm just wondering..is it ok to place the front and center speakers and subwoofer in a media cabinet/center? will the vibrations loosen the nails/glue? i know this might be a dumb question but i never had a home theater system before and im currently in the proccess of getting one...

also will the sound quality be affected at all if the speakers are in a media cabinet/center instead of in a stand or mounted on the walls?

thanks guys for your inputs...

The main speaker that may give you the most problems with vibrations is the subwoofer. It is usually ok to place front R/L and center in the media center, especially if they are small satellite speakers.

The sound probly won't be affected but some more information would be useful in regards to speaker size, etc.
