Yo! Total noob question here...I recently purchased an Onkyo 6.1 surround rec. and wanted to know you all's opinion on the top 3 surround speaker systems. Cost is not a factor here. Thanks.

I am using Sonus Faber Cremona, but you may like the Stradivari.

Currently I'm recommending the MartinLogan Statement E2.

Maybe the TX-NR 1000. But that might be a stretch even for this 73 lb. monster.

First of all, let me say
Yo! Chris! Do you really need help, or can Bernie and I riff on for a while here?

Have you auditioned this one?

You kiddin'? Nobody's got this in stock. Here's a brand that's in some big box retailers, but of course they won't be displaying this $5K piece. That said, there's much to be said for this unit as you'd expect.

LOL...I don't know about Chris, dude, He's probably enjoying his Onkyo without speakers, or going insane with the speaker choices.

Where did you find this one?

Chris,

If money is no object, then take a listen to the Magnaplanar speakers at only $10,000 each. Too much money? Well, they're definitely not the most expensive speakers out there.

Have you heard of RBH Sound? RBH Sound has been making speakers for over 20 years. Their speakers contain ALUMINUM drivers. I'm using 3 RBH T1 speakers as my front L/R/C, and 2 66-SE speakers for my rear surrounds. They have a HUGE SOUNDSTAGE, and place instruments and voices perfectly. I can't imagine any speaker sounding better. My friend bought the RBH System 2 speaker package and can't stop raving about them. Frankly, they sound awesome in his room.

Check them out: http://www.rbhsound.com/index.html
