I need help hooking all these up. It says i need a digital coax cord...can you use any digital Cable, or does it have to have orange ends. I bought some cable but is has red and white ends on it??

Video quality in this order:

RCA (red, white, yellow)=good, S-video=better, component (red, green, blue)=best

Sound quailty in this order:

RCA (red, white)=good, Digital coax (orange)=better, Optical (toslink)=best

Use the above as a quide when hooking up your system, if you do not have any of the above as an option, go to the next on the list. You setup would be best done as follows:

DVD to TV: red/green/blue (video) or S-video
Sound DVD to TV: Red/White RCA's
Sound to Receiver: Optical or digital coax orange

Sat box to TV: red/green/blue or S-video
Sat box sound to TV: RCA red/white
Sat box sound reveiver: Optical or digital coax

VCR to TV: S-video or yellow RCA (video)
VCR to TV sound: red/white RCA
VCR to Receiver: Optical then coax, then RCA's

The purpose of running the appropriate sound cable to both the tv and receiver from the same source allow you to watch one, the other, or both together if you so desire. Hope that helped!
