I have bought the above and been told that connecting the TV to the amp/dvd via scart is not maximising the capabilites of the TV. My TV has so many connection possibilities, which is the best or is the scart ( a high quality one) as good as any other option? If you reply please explain as if I am technically stupid. Thanks!
Matthew, If your amp/dvd has component outputs (three lines--red, green, blue) use them instead of scart. If you have the option of "progressive scan" on the DVD then use it in that mode as well.
Your Sony will then be able to scale the best possible picture when playing movies.
