I've just purchased the 50" Pioneer PDP5050 Plasma from Costco and am in the midst of consulting with custom installers to create a home theater. I have a Panasonic combo DVD/VHS recorder, a Denon 5 disc CD changer. I will be purchasing DirectTv HD/DVR and need a receiver that supports HD as well as speakers. I also want to be able to use the display as a computer monitor as I lounge on my couch with a wireless keyboard. Finally I want all of the components hidden away in a back closet so the wiring will have to go up a wall, into the ceiling and down. I'm looking for advice on which brands would be good and if there are any suggestions on periphial devices (like media extenders) that might assist the install and possibly salvage some of my walls.
