Hi Guys and Girls,
I'm totaly new to the home cinema market, basically I'm a musician who loves music and wants to listen to it on a high quality system, but also enjoy a good film, my 15 year old technics hifi system is caput!! so i want to replace it with a home theatre system i can enjoy music on and also watch a film with some cool sounds!! kill 2 birds with 1 stone type of thing!
the bose lifestyle 48 seems to be the king, but is a fair price!!!
what receiver and speakers do you recommend for me????
I'm sure that you guys must have the same quality as the 48 but with a different set of components!!! and cheaper!!!
or do i have to go out and buy the 48???
please say you can recommend cheaper, i'll be paying the 48 off for ever!!!
thanks in advance for you replies, best regards Reg

The Lifestyle 48 is a big mistake at that price. you are much better off with separate components. For receivers, you should look into the Yamaha RXV-2600 or the Denon 4806 receiver. For a sub, you should look into the Hsu research VTF-3 Mk 2 (http://www.hsustore.com/vtf3.html). I don't have a recommendation for speakers...
