I am not an audiophile, shopping for HT package. In a store I was offered to get Energy take 5.2 ($600) package or Energy Encore ($1000)
Does the Ecnore really that much better?
Each comes with a 2 front, 2 rear, center and I think it also comes with the receiver and sub (not sure).
For this kind of money should I consider something else , find or Energy is good enough?
Also I have an open plan first floor, my family room and kitchen are not separated by walls. The small size of shelf speakers is it really a big disadvantage in this kind of set up. Most of my viewing is in the family room anyway.Thanks

Both systems sound great.With the Encore system you are getting a far superior sub.I have the Encore 8 sub in my setup and am very satisfied.Dont be fooled because of the 8 inch driver.
