I am in the process of ordering a complete home theatre system for a room that is 17X25. The 42" Plasma TV (NEC) will be mounted above fireplace with center channel mounted below TV. My wiring has already been run and I will be putting in a 5.1 system AND the receiver will control speakers outside my house for music to the porch. The speakers WILL NOT be in-wall mounts but rather mounted to the wall similar to a bose setup for lack of a better example. Here in lies the problem: I already have a bose system and am not impressed enough with them to put in my main room. I am looking for a system that when I play Top Gun in the DVD player, I can feel the plane fly over my head....get the point? I am trying to keep under a $3,000 budget for receiver/DVD Player/Speakers and whatever else I need. Where do I begin? What speakers? What receiver? What DVD player? Thanks in advance for your help.
