A "Factory Renewed" Boston Acoustics PV500 for $149 w/free shipping seems like a pretty good deal. I just picked one up to re-enforce a pair of CR77s I picked up a few weeks ago.

I've read some positive reviews @ cruchfeild.com, but can't presume they're objective.

Good price.
No dealers in Brooklyn? Unbelieveable.
Last time I was there I got to se the plugged little streets and little shops, hard to fathom no hi-fi dealers there.

Nuck,

Brooklyn lost The Cold War if you hadn't heard. I don't know how much longer we'll have running water & electricity at the rate we're going.

Best Buy might stock Boston since I think they dropped Infinity in their new Magnolia section, but I avoid the place like the plague, especially between now & Christmas.

...or was that Circuit City that dropped Infinity?

The PV500 uses a 100 watt amplifier. The Boston Avieda system on sale at AudioAdvisor includes a 200 watt subwoofer with six speakers for $199. To me the Avieda system seems like a better deal.. if the subwoofer has a 200 watt continuous power amplifier.

Yeah, your probably right, but $50 is $50, and I don't need the satellites. I think the 100wpc will suffice for now. I'll eventually jump to a HSU, or a Tom if it ever resurfaces.
