That's all the coverage we have for today. Do join us for the live coverage of Day 2 tomorrow at 8:00 AM IST, i.e. 10:30 local time. Tada and have a nice evening.
That ends a torrid day for India. On a green top, Clarke opted to bowl first after winning the toss. His bowlers showed intent and had the Indians reeling at 73/4 at lunch and bowled them out half an hour after Tea. None of the Indian batsmen showed any application and except the deliveries that got Sehwag and Laxman, all the other wicket taking balls were not ones which deserved wickets. But credit to the Aussie pacers, they stuck to the task and bowled consistent lines. Kohli was the only batsmen who resisted, but gave in to the temptation of a wide ball. That was not all. Warner and Cowan came out to smash the Indian pacers all over the park. The former was in a belligerent mood and got to hundred before end of day's play. None of the bowlers looked in the mood to bowl well and their efforts were comparable to the net-practice bowlers.
All the Indian fielders congratulate Warner. It has been a special innings.
