RECORDING FROM CABLE TV TO VCR

HELLO I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF I WANT TO RECORD A CERTAIN PROGRAM, I GUESS IT IS OBVIOUS THAT I SHOULD LEAVE MY TV ON THE CHANNEL THAT THE PROGRAM IS ON? I HAVE SET THE TIMER TO START AND STOP AT A CERTAIN TIME AND DAY. THANKS FOR ANY HELP...DAVE

Dave, do you have a cable box, or are you using straight cable with no box?

1) Leave your cable box powered up and showing the channel you want to record.

2) Set the VCR's timer to the appropriate day and start/stop times. Program the VCR to record either channel 3 or 4, depending on the normal playback channel you normally have the TV set to.

3) Don't turn off the cable box. You can turn off the TV.

I would like to thank John S for his help with my vcr recording problem. Everything worked out fine thanks to john's instructions....Dave
