The latest bin 182 freeze fix, killed my sonicview. It shows like half 0000 with dashes on second half of zeroes. It happens as the bin got fully loaded and shows on screen flash rom updating, then restart .. dead.

Anybody have any idea how to fix it. I can't load anything and sometimes when I restart the stb shows me less than 0000 on the lcd.

get the bin from totalfta.com only though
get the factory file from another site that has it posted such as ftatalk or just about any other site will have a factory file

or even get directly from sonicview website

try turning the box off from the back and on....wait a lil bit see if it gives some sort of picture on the tv

if not then do the following:

get the loader and factory bin....go to your computer and flash it using the serial cable to the box

then get the ultra file from ftatalk.com and load it on the box using the usb

good luck

JB is right. Go get your factory bin, upload that to the receiver, then upload the newest bin. I have had several Viewsats do the same thing and that is how we fix them.....I will here on and off all weekend if you have any questions..

It does not communicate neither shows anything on TV. No reaction to the remote at all. Turn from back on and off and still shows 0000 with half dashes between and to the lower line. I did try to do the cools*t reload the firmware and seems it's not working, I know I need to be in a good timing to load the factory file at start but it didn't change the 0000 and shows there is no connection.

JB thanks for helping. As I told you it's weird. There is no communication with the stb. The loader I'm using is the latest and doesn't show if there is serial connection or not. So you are blind loading the file, if it works and it did work all the times before. Now there is no reaction from the STB. Sometimes if I restart from back over two or three times in row, it shows nothing .. like dead LCD, Black.

I can't load the factory firmware if there is no communication. The cables are fine, I got my old Lifetime from closet and it did work fine with loading. So it should be the Sonicview is the trouble. This device worked like a charm never ever got an issue with before. Now seems like is not even reaction to the pc connection.

No difference, I don't think it's the loader neither the connection. It's from the device itself. It does not communicate. The software is the latest I think version 0201. I do have the factory bin too. But I don't see any results from doing that.
