north ontario Unregistered guest | How to flash your dvb500 Follow these instructions to FLASH........... STEP 1. Connect a null modem cable to your computer and your receiver (make sure the receiver is plugged in) STEP 2. Execute the XC-2K232.exe STEP 3. Click on FIle choose your appropriate RS-232 Comport (COM1, COM2, COM3 or COM4) STEP 4. Next screen click on DSTB Scroll down to Update Software (Safe) F3, click it STEP 5. A window should pop up locate and click on the newest flash (The_Asesin_V) STEP 6. Downloading to your receiver should begin and will take about 3 minutes, when receiver shows rrrrr on it exit out of 2K232 then unplug the receiver and replug it. NEW FLASH IS DONE STEP 7. Execute SatelliteEditor or PCEditor or Channel Master and write the channel list to the receiver or connect to TV and scan satellites. ** NOTE ** A Null Modem Cable is needed to Flash (9 pin female both ends) When DOWNLOADING or UPLOADING to the receiver, always watch the receiver and wait untill it is finished before disconnecting it. The receive will display rrrr when finished. |
