I have a mits wd-62825 and bought a sony dvd/vhs combo. The store people came & hooked up the unit but it won't work. Maybe something was hooked up incorrectly? Yes, I am stupid blonde who doesn't understand owners manuels. Can anyone give me easy instructions on how this should be hooked up?

Do you have an antenna/cable(digital)/dish? Does the tv have the red/white/and yellow inputs on it? Do you have an audio receiver/suround sound system? What area of the country do you live(for channel purposes)
