I will admit that for the price this system sounds great.The only thing im trying to figure out is the optical audio.I have all my video connections on component cables, which works fine and looks great.My dvd player (toshiba sd-3900) has dolby digital and dts digital out which is connected to the receiver via a optical cable.Now the sound is amazing when I enable the optical on the receiver but for some reason I can barely hear any dialogue. Case and point Lord of the rings dvd, I choose the 5.1 Dolby digital Ex surround sound option which the receiver supports I enable the optical audio, sound is there but I hear no dialogue or it is very faint.Now since im fairly new to this I was wondering if i need to calibrate this system or is there something I am not doing.Now when I put back the analog connections I can hear everything fine but the sound is nothing compared to the optical. Any ideas.
