Check your cables and connection from the receiver to the LNB

Polarisation L is high voltage then a bad cable or a bad connector contact will not give the L, it can be also the switch if you use it!

With the 118 LNBs, there is usually no Horizontal/Vertical problem as with some Dish LNBs.
I am presuming you have a disEqC switch. Other types of switches can be a problem.
There are some variations in the 118LNBs. You should try
Single, standard and Universal types if such is available on Dreambox 100
The LNB freq can also cause problems. 10600 is a good one, although some will work best at 10750, and others at 9750-10750 setting.
I am not sure why you are using a switch. You could use one output of the LNB directly to your receiver, and set up two scans separately of Anik F3 separately from Echo 14 (originally Echo 7 location).
