Amazonas 2 will have a useful life cycle of 15 years and will provide a wide range of communications services, including direct to home television (DTH), through a total of 64 simultaneous transponders, of which 54 will operate in Ku band and 10 in C band.

It will cover the continent of America from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego with optimised Ku band coverage for North America and South America.

As of today there is only one TP activated on Amazonas 2

Yes, great news... Amazonas 2 is now active on linear C/Ku ,
with several open test channels viewable using any FTA box.

You can watch them from Canada using a 33" Ku dish and Standard LO 10750 LNBF
or Universal LO 9750-10600.
Also on C with a 1.5 dish and a linear LO 5150 LNBF.


BTW.... with the hundreds of channels it'll be carrying,
and as long as they remain on N2 encryption (probably 1-1½ years),
it will be the next biggie free for all since Dish/Bev good ol' days...

Good post guys, but most of the people that vist here are only
interested in Desia TV channels.

zulu is correct..many people wait...This site , ecoustics, has been taken over by some people without much knowledge of FTA...many of them struggle with the English language. That's just the way it is...but there are many sites with knowledgeable folks that understand FTA. I helped someone last week and got criticized by some French Moron....That is why all the smart people have left here...This sites hit count has gone to POT
