C/P This is some news about Kbox. And it is not good. I was told that it is ok to make a statement like this even though there is not any doubt that it will cause an uproar. The person that I got my info from (Could that Guy be SUMP that has disappear)has been in contact with the kbox guys.
There are tons of folks out there that own Kboxes. Many that never got a minutes viewing pleasure with them. And to them, this will be very bad news unless there are some major changes. But in the eyes of my sources, more than likely Kbox will never be back up and running. I mean like 90% probability that they are done. That leaves only a 10% chance that they will ever be alive again. And if they do come back, it will be only for a very short time so hopefully they can sell some of the remaining stock.
"Hip, hip, hooray!" to the Number 1 and 2 helpers here that were saying that Kbox and nFusion were the best receivers for ISK and not to listen to these trouble makers they only trying to scare you
IKS technology relies more on hardware and less of software writing. The hardware is very simple and the embedded software is much simpler to write than the "BINs" of last a year ago. So if kbox becomes defunct, 1. There is a good chance that the khub will be usable with another receiver; 2. Some "BIN" writer will write the necessary stuff to divert your to look for IKS in another direction.
In any case the impact of kbox not working will not be as sever as that of Viewsat not working last year. I am confident that some other group will come up and make your kbox and maybe a couple of other receivers workable.
Justforhahas was the promoter of Viewsats for 3-4 years and she should know.
