Someody should post and ask the mods at future to get a update from BL [boldfaced Lier]. he promised it and the super bin on irc at there "Koolaid Kickoff" last cull a few months ago now .
AS much as I am not a BL fan or Pancrap...I have to admit that the Satopia has been hanging in there..and survived a few ECM's or had the first fix..
I realy think that all the coder camps, except Coo*lsat and Ariza, have just about knocked the socks off any ECM lately , and the full emu is just about a reality now..or close to it...new fixes from Conaxsat (CNX) within 2 hours, and others is quite a feat!...
I agree, BL is really stepping it up. Im sure we will see the full emu days before it goes to nagra 3. No big deal anyway, seems the boxes are only down a few hrs after an ecm now. No biggie.
c/p from another site as they discussed about this today.
This was said before (can't remember who, /me thinks it was BlackList) that the full emu is out but it is too large to be fitted on a single bin. Instead, it is run on coders computer. When a hit occurs, they run it in the computer, the full emu spits out a fix and they post it.
Most boxes wouldn't have the memory or speed to decrypt what is required to autoroll the keys and those with enough memory (if any) still couldn't handle such a big file There is AR for the new key, these ECMs are not key related. There is a Full EMU, it is run on a PC and is why the files come out quicker
That would fit what has been suggested about BL and the holy grail of full EMU. These fixes have been freakishly fast for Satopia and that is his baliwick. I'm not technically 'in-the-know' but it seems to me that full EMU/reverse engineering is possible. The questions are, Is it practical on a commercial level? Is it worthwhile financially? As for Nag3, it has already been cracked on a Spanish system. It may cause some dead time but contrary to some peoples beliefs (and you know who you are your highness),the sky is not falling.
