phd103 : When jvvh first started the conversion, he used the jtag method. Chancy helped and advised him. The veterans still like to use that method. 3-4 months later jvvh developed the serial load method, again with a bit of help from Chancy. Chancy and others have continued to modify BINs after jvvh stopped doing it. Chancy still produces BINs of both types. Most people use the serial load. However, you can use the jtag BINs of Chancy for the following reasons.
1. You like to load the BIN that way, whether or not the box needs jtagging. 2. You have a receiver that needs jtag and the conversion. You do not want to bother jtagging to the original state and then go through conversion. Therefore you jtag directly to the latest converted BIN (including B75 boot). 3. You are installing a new BIN for somebody and want to impress the owner 4. You are charging for installing a new BIN for somebody and want to charge more.
phd103 : : I hope you know that the jtag BINs you and I are talking about are for the converted boxes or for Pansat 2500/FLU and clones of 2500. They are NOT for use on Clone Pansat 2700.
