- DN had finally launched their massive upgrade - They are moving very fast with a new strategy - Right now they are running a parallel frequency with exact same program. I was able to intercept both frequencies. and man oh man they are very good. - The primry service can be easly decyphered using spoof bin programs. But the parallel won't Thi s can only mean one thing and one thing only.
I have been watching this activity for nearly 3 months and I did speak about it 3 weeks ago. In a thread called "Attention FTA users" What I see now is very fast development. THE END IS NEAR.
You guys know me I would never report false information. King would never post false claims. This is how you can check for yourself. At about 1000 kHz for every channel there is an identical channel with same exact EPG and subcode. If you do blind scan you'll get doubles of everything. One good channel other no audio or video or even signal. No new bin will solve it. This is different. TRUST ME
So the bottom line is how long until they turn off the light?. I say 2 weeks to 3 months as an educated guess depending on completing their unknown tests.

How do you explain the mirror TPs 1000 Khz apart with identical chan name one with Audio & Video and signal the other without.
I also came across it few times I thought it was just near by feeds since they don't show on EPG with program data. Now they do. Believe me I do see something. Check it out for yourself.
Remember hardware cost them money but playing with the program is all software does not require hardware change. I think they just got smarter.

It won't stop PTA users but will shut them down for few days. Bins will resurface but cat and mouse chase on a different level.
What you should do in the mean time - Get local antennas so you can at least watch locals. - Record many of your favorite Movie shows tapes or DVDs hard Drives etc. - Stock on water and food (only this part I'm joking)

Ive enjoyed tv for along time, both boxes have paid for themselves 10 fold. I got a good deal and it was fun while it lasted, but i dont think anything is coming soon, if it does, well Ive got cable to. and I think that the geniuses will figure it out again. Trust in them, exept BL.

Before a blind scan all channels should be deleted for the sat being Bscaned. Also many times I have lost some channels, just delete and Blind scan and all are back. Channels do change tps etc. ....

When DTV swapped cards from P3/HU to P4/D1 in April 2004 which ended the "testing" of DTV access cards, this was the scheduled shut down of channels which actually stayed the course..
This information comes directly from a DTV bulletin for employees. Channel shutdown is as follows starting on the 13th of April 2004. (lets hope DTV is like any big corporation and their days slip hehe) This really isn't a rumor... but since everyone is SO "know it all" on here.. I stuck it in here...

Also I don't blame him to tell people to read.I have used free to air,downloaded files and repaired receiver's just by reading info on these sites without asking questions that have been answord 100 times before
TY John for the comments..U are 100% correct about READING!...U can learn it all yourself if U read at Reputable Dss sites..ocassionally people need help when an odd problem or a new DN or Bev tactic occurs, but generally if someone puts the effort and time to READ, then they will learn much faster and become self sufficient..
LK I started out with a Pansat 2500 and like alot of people took it to a dealer to program. then one day I decided to learn to do it myself. I now have a viewsat xtreme which a a far better receiver.It's to bad people don't use this site to learn instead of trash talk

Never mind DN, but what about Bev? Tonight, I had to manually input keys on Bev to see the fights but I did NOT turn off autoroll. I have never seen this type of ECM before. I have a C00lsat and I know that Pansat bins are buggy, but this is a new one on me.
Anyways what whatever one provider does the other follows. Something must be in the works, but as long as the encryption technology doesn't change, I'm not too worried.

I don't follow your question You didn't turn off auto roll? If you put keys manually how is that different from previous ECM? I don't have BEV so I don't know what happened to BEV.
Actually, never mind. I was too busy watching the UFC to check my Bev keys. But I just checked them a minute ago and they are the same keys from the last key change many hours ago. So the next time the keys change I will have to enter them again. I was just going on reports from others that the "keys are changing every 10 minutes" or so.
The upside is that no matter what DN throws our way, the code can be reverse engineered as the actual DN hardware has not changed at all. I'm not downplaying what you are saying King cause I have a feeling that you're correct on this matter. But I'm sure it's just a new form of convulusion for the coders to figure out.

Bev added a Map call in key packets. Expect DN to follow. This is step 1 of a plan to exhaust resources of some older units. Once they start running multiple calls, it will get interesting. Cyphris is on it for VS and an A/R fix should be forthcoming soon. Till then, input keys (in the right place), turn of A/R, and watch tv

So, it sounds like more dynamic routines will be used to complicate deciphering of keys.
Until the encryption technology (Nagra2) changes to something better we'll (like the lot of us actually help out the coders! LOL) be able to easily counter whatever they throw our way.
Because the maproms are know by VS, their encryption is useless. The most that they can do is changed which maproms are used, or play with autoroll signatures by throwing in an extra maprom call or two.
They're just trying to increase the level of convolution. We're okay for a while. Unless...

But if you use a cardless ird,the cam will have to be upgraded through software or a new card in the slot.I'm not worried until they swap out the cams again.But it might help redirect attention to dave's birds too.But I still would rather dn/bev,but add dave too!

I don't know If I have inside information I would of said it already I don't expect hardware change any soon One thing I expect to happen THEY HAVE TO KEEP THROWING SHELLS. I wouldn't expect them to give-up easily.
- Some techs do secrete tests between 3AM and 5AM (it is not DN) on behalf of DN but also M-F operation - They only change keys Mon to Friday - They do key change between 8am to 6pm PST
