I uploaded new bin yesterday. Now what happens is my receiver shows on tv screen "SEARCHING FOR SIGNAL". I switch off my receiver from back and it works good for 40mins to 1 hour and then shows again searching for signals. then i have to do whole process of switching off and on. Wat can be wrong. My keys are autorolling anyways.
I don't know what could be the problem but try flashing your receiver with the factory bin and then load the new bin, see if that helps. That's always one of the last things to try. I myself haven't downloaded the new bin yet, just waiting to see what problems people encounter.
Try to re-load with new .pgm file. - do not switch Xtrme before clicking on to start downloding to receiver. But most importantly TAKE YOUR TIME after loading before you switch it off !!!!! new file name for: VSExtremeDBPSW-061122X.zip It's working. Autoroll is working fine as well.
I have a Viewsat Xteme VS2000, yesterday it froze up, I reloaded with factory bin ODS39000FA-V0268 20060913 XTREME.PGM On top of that I flashed DBPSW -- 061122X.PGM the latest bin. Did the Set-up reinstalled satellites, etc. Everything worked fine, then exactly the same problem as the first post, after an hour or so if I change sats, I lost the signal strength. It's "searching for a signal." Check the bars in the Installation menu and its lost strength. I have to reboot the receiver and it works fine again, for awhile then the same thing. In my case it appears that it is not cooperating with the Diseqc Switch, I was going to change it tomorrow now it appears that it is a Bin problem. Auto-roll works. Any suggestion?
Sorry, my is working 100%, but it is probably only since I am using only one dish/sat. - I used to have all kind of strange problems back in September, e.g. when switching receiver off in the back, but I found the trick is to really let it sit for a short time after downloading .pgm file before switching it off and unlugging from computer. DO not rush it ! Since then it has been all honkydorry ! Cheers

Elizabeth is nothing but a dumb fcuking broad...it's not like there is a 1250 different satellite sites out there with the new fixes...stupid fcuking women should not be allowed to touch these machines..they are way to fcuking stupid..ROTF
O.K. It really looks like the file has a glitch, after few hours - signal loss. Soft switch off > hard switch off (in the back) > it's back to normal. We have to wait for update. But it's still better and faster (so far), then manually inputting the keys every day, specailly for poeple like me, that watch tv only for few hour.
there is a bug in this bin that screws with the signal I didn't really notice till today as i been at work when the box is on a channel for a period of time an u chnage the channel apparantly the signal goes wacky the powers that be have been informed of this for some xtremes and platnium released files
So there should a new file comin soon once i have it running i will share as always
At least VS fixes the problems...and doesn't keep pumping out same old BS bins with same old problems every week!...and then promise U more "FUTURE" improvements!
You can turn off auto roll and it will not lose Quality and lock up. Then when the keys change turn it back on until it rolls. This has worked for about 5 hours now hope it helps.
pannu, please check ur disecq as i have encountered from viewsat new disecq but bad output if possible if you have other disecq change it or go to the other port.
From dsscommunity reliable and knowlegeable source who himself creates new bins, pgms etc...this applies to ALL Viewsat 061122 bins..
for people having problems with DBPSW-061122X with losing signal or freezing this is what i was told an have done been running my viewsat extreme all day over 12 hours without problems
hit menu on remote go to options and turn off auto TP
and turn off autoroll if u have picture i have been switchin between dish 110-119-and bev 91 at different times an have not had the signal issue or freezing that iwas getting day before if the picture goes blank means key change turn autoroll back on once keys roll then turn autoroll back off
jus a temp fix till they are done workin on the real fix
