Need Help with T5-KU Sat.

New member Username: RostamPost Number: 8 Registered: Feb-06 | I am not able to get Setanta sport, Euro News, RTR sport and few others stattions (rest is fine)on T5-KU sat (international). I checked the TP , simbol rate and other details with LyngSat. They are all OK.I should tell when I bring up Setanta Sport for example; in the bottom of the screen signal reception indicator shows activity, but the screen goes into Scramble Bad signal mode. Any ideas... To get all international channels unscrambled do I need to enter a new "key" or do I need a Bin file? Thank you, |

The nagra one is working fine. I will tell you the keys once I finish scanning my sats agains. By the way if you have a pansat 2700A, there is a new bin that works for globcast N2 that came out just today. |

Bronze Member Username: RostamPost Number: 24 Registered: Feb-06 | Sat is Linear. Known as Telstar 5 or T5. Located at 97 West Basically, Globecast is a provider of foreign language sat service: You will need a larger dish for T5. Usually 30+ inches, depending on location. I have posted a sat signal map and a chart with recommended dish sizes beside it. The bin allows you to receive Ku band, by using a Linear LNB. The larger *choice, ParaTodos, Phase III, etc dishes may be modified to work, depending on where you are located. I would think that a DN SuperDish might also be OK since that too is made to receive signal with a Linear LNB.. D300, D500 and B3v dishes are all too small for a consistent signal. Again, the larger the dish, the better. It's probably the most sensitive sat to lock onto. It has a very narrow beam so proper preparation with accurate sat settings, plumb masts and methodical patience is required when setting it up. The LNB must be skewed in it's mount in order to obtain maximum signal quality. Signal quality may be as low as 25 or as hgh as 80 and you'll still be able to get signal. Ray I know you asked mike, but I will go ahead and unswer anyway. Once you install 145 bin, just connect your receiver back, make sure all the setting are correct according to your hardware. Push default key under CAS system, blind scan or sat scan and you are ready to go. |

Bronze Member Username: GeekerPost Number: 79 Registered: Nov-04 | @aznknighz17, the 142 bin is the wright bin, and if you can see some channels and others you can'ton T5, then there are two possibilities of what the problem might be. First the channel or channels you are trying to watch maybe are Irdeto encrypted, and for that you need to visit lyngsat and check the encryption of the channels you are trying to watch, as Irdeto is not hacked yet. Second if the channels you are trying to watch are N2 encrypted then check and see if the TP where the channels you are trying to watch has signal. You have to know that it's very hard to have good signal on TPs of T5. |
