Pansat 2400 will not hold keys with superdish

I have a dish pro and a pansat 2400. I recently decided to sell my 2400 and upgrade, the guy I sold my box too has a superdish I was told this wouldnt be a problem, but when he hooked up it would not work. I checked the keys in the box, it was running at my house, but they had changed, we tried to put new keys in but it would not save them. I took the box home and re-inputed the keys and it works fine. Is there some reason why the box would not save the keys, if he has a superdish?? Any one heard of this?

Superdish and receivers have nothing in common...the dish does not hinder the receiver or the keys...

what is a pansat 2400?...never heard of it....must be a dinosaur or non existent..

maybe i have a pansat 2500 dunno, but the keys would not save at his house, All we could figure was because i had a dish pro and he had a super dish, Could their be different switches or something?? Any help would be appreciated. Gonna try to reflash see what happens.

LNB's and type dish have nothing to do with saving keys...its the reciver and the operator that it!..if they don't save, then the operator did something wrong!..nothing affects saving the keys..

switches do have something to do with reviever. some switches like sw21 wont work with some dishes. Not the dish, the switches, external ones.

switches have NOTHING to do with the keys being saved!

Is there some reason why the box would not save the keys?...operator error...NON SAVED keys has nothing to do with the LNB's, the switches, the dish type or ANY other hardware....admit it...U screwed up...its no biggie, since U got it right the 2nd time..

BTW...Are U talking Dishnet or Bev keys?...they are put in the same way, except for the provider ID is different..
