I recently had Comcast install a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8000 HD DVR. Once they got the TV to recognize any signal, they bolted. However, I cannot get the TV to recognize any signal higher than 480i.
I have installed the RCA RGB component cables to the DTV inputs on the TV and then tried setting, through the Input Selection Menu of the TV and with the instructions provided with the set-top Explorer, the signal to 1080i. Nothing seems to work.
I have changed the settings between the RGB and the YpYb (or whatever it is).
Any idea as to what it is that I need to do to get the full benefit of the HD signals?
