ON PPV (Pay Per View Guide) channels 103 and 500 has returned to transponder 19 at 110°. This is only one channel stream mirrored on two channel numbers. (ANON/Shane) PPV channel 505 returned to tp 16 at 119° (ANON) PPV channel 509 returned to tp 17 at 119° (ANON) EPG name change on channel 7055 from KSCC to KMTW. This station changed its call letters months ago as reported by Raymie. Price Increases on many basic packages announced today. See changes HERE (info from www.satelliteguys.us) 12/19/06
The following channel moved to transponder 11 at 119°: 210 CSPAN from tp 17, 212 CSPN2 from tp 8, 222 HSN from tp 16, 226 QVC from tp 16, 228 SHNBC from tp 16, and 299 REELZ from tp 4. (ANON)...just a guess, the LA local channel streams are gone from to 11 at 119° now. Anyone who "moved" to get distant channels is SOL! Atlanta ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox channels have been removed from ConUS transponder 19 at 110° to tp 20 Spot beam 6. Atlanta Distant networks are available through NPS using the same equipment Channels 8291 and 8311 telling Atlanta distant nets subscribers that Atlanta was moving to a spot beam were removed from tp 10 at 110° 12/18/06
After over two dozen e-mails about this, I have to add this note: the channel streams for the four Los Angeles networks are still physically uplinked to transponder 11 at 119°. They are FTA (Free to air) right now according to some, encrypted according to others. These streams have no channel number, are not in any of the Dish system tables or transponder trickle guides, and, therefore, are not available to ANY legitimate Dish Network receiver now. For this reason they are not listed on this chart. For the possibility of seeing these channels an FTA MPEG2 receiver is needed. The Atlanta standard definition ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox network channels (8300-8303) are expected to move from ConUS transponder 19 at 110° to a spot beam transponder. (Scott G at Satelliteguys.us) NPS (National Programming Service) offers Atlanta network channels on ConUS transponder 15° at 119° to QUALIFYING Dish network subscribers. See the DishNets page. 12/15/06
Anyone who "moved" to Los Angeles to get networks... SURPRISE! Los Angeles ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox local channels (Channels 242, 244, 246, 248 and mirrored on channels 8000-8003) moved from tp 11 to tp 3 SPOT BEAM 5 at 119°. IOW if you do not live in Southern, CA, you cannot get these channels any more. (ANON/Scott G at Satelliteguys.US). UPDATE: See 12/18/06 note iShop channel 229 moved from tp 3 to tp 16 at 110° (ANON) TEEZ channel 487 moved from tp 16 to tp 3 at 110° (ANON)
I get all the xxx channels except 492, Spice Xcess. I've tried rescanning and just about everything else but I can't get it. The transponder, 12486R on Echo 8 has about 84 strength and 0 quality on my xtreme. Anyone else with a similar problem or am I the only one who can't get Spice Xcess?
I'm just not picking up that transponder. I checked and I'm also missing Sleuth, Encore Action East, and Discovery Home, all which are on that tp. I ain't gonna worry about it now but when the weather gets better I'm going up on the roof and do a little adjusting to my dish....or maybe not. Might mess up what I got..
