I just moved from the lower 48 to Alaska and I am trying to set up my DirecTV service here. I installed it myself with no issues several times before, but I am having problems now. I was told my 3 LNB dish would not work here, so I now have the larger 5 LNB Ka/Ku dish, but I'm still not getting a signal. I've tried calling local service techs, but there's only one that handles DTV and he says I need a $600+ dish (that looks pretty much the same as the one I bought for $50) plus $100 per hour for labor for him to install, which just seems ridiculous to me). Can anyone help me find the right coordinates, or give me some advice regarding this new dish type?
