Posted on Thursday, July 21, 2011 - 15:22 GMT My new TV and my DVD player both have a single RCA-type plug labeled "digital coaxial output". Can anyone tell me what it's supposed to be connected to? I tried several things -Logitec computer speakers, little portable amp, but it doesn't work. Thanks. Steve |

Posted on Friday, July 22, 2011 - 13:27 GMT Welcome to eCoustics Stephen Brauning! Those input/output are for the Digital surround audio sound usualy AC3! To make it working you have to select digital input or output in your hardware menu! |

Posted on Friday, July 22, 2011 - 18:11 GMT Thanks, Plymouth. I have searched AC3 and AV receivers and found many, but they seem to all be these component systems with AM/FM receivers, some kind of integrated video capacity, surround sound, 100 + watts, etc. I just want to amplify the sound coming from the TV and the DVD player. Isn't there a simple hook-up to a pair of amplified speakers or something simple? |
