Hi, I recently got DTV and want to record my shows on a VCR. I thought this would be rather easy, but I was dead wrong. Now I only have AV cables to work with, so keep that in mind. First I unplugged the cables from the TV and into the "Video In" jacks of my VCR. I flipped through every channel (on my VCR) looking for a signal, and NO LUCK. Then, I hooked a Coaxial cable from the video out (of the VCR), I left my AV cables in the "Video In", turned to channel 3 and... no luck. I tried other stupid stuff that didn't make sense (I was out of ideas) and those didn't work (obviously).

Basically, I'm out of ideas. Please Help

You need to set the "channel" on the VCR to LINE IN when using AV (red+white+yellow) cables. Channels 3, 4, ... won't work.
