Ok so I bought the Kbox prodigy yesterday and it works great!
That is when I use a 50 foot long ethernet cable that stretches from the second floor of my house to the main floor because I don't have 2 spots to plug both the satellite and my router (cable internet) upstairs. So I decided, lets save wire-hiding trouble and get 2 power line adapters and make it less messy and work a little less.
I've spend over 4 hours today trying to figure out why I can't seem to set them up. They are Ethernet power line adapters, so it's just plug and play.
I have tried connecting my laptop to the other adapter to test connectivity, no luck. I've almost given up and called someone to do this for me.
ANY help at all would be appreciated greatly!
Kbox+Powerline Adapters=????

Bronze Member Username: Akhan64Toronto, On Ca Post Number: 14 Registered: Dec-05 | My dish direct is 118 and 110. Do you think that, it's a direction problem? Moreover my signal color comes in yellow color. What does it means? It used to be in green in viewset box. I haVe checked network connection as well, iT displays 'Connected - ok'. There is a yellow button called 'Download' on Network information screen. What is the use of this button. When I click on 'Download' button, the KHUb light goes red and a confirmation message is displayed that download 1.62 is avaiable. When I click 'Yes' it display another messages 'download fail'. I tried 100 times. Each time same message. After this it takes a while to get back green light by KHUB. |

Gold Member Username: Saqeeb9000Post Number: 5848 Registered: Oct-07 | so far aamir no use of yellow button, go to menu dish setting ur sat for watching indo/pak channels should be 118.8 lnb power on type single lnb freq 10750 22khz off diseqc change it until u have 118 on top where it says dish setting right beside dish setting u should get both level and quality signal diseqc 1.1 and legacy should be turned off, |
|
Gold Member Username: Saqeeb9000Post Number: 5849 Registered: Oct-07 | the other easy way to do this for you is to plug in ur viewsat box back and go to dish setting and write it on piece of paper and use the exact same setting on ur k1plus, (after replacing it with viewsat), leave the khub on .. |
