I have decided to buy the Mistubishi 65" 1080P TV but can't decide between the medallion or diamond series. Although I am aware that the the Diamond has a bunch of features the Medallion does not, it seems the main reason to spend the money to get the Diamond is for the 180 Watt light bulb vs. the 150 Watt light bulb in the Medallion. However, is that really a difference I will notice? Any thoughts?
Also, I have heard mixed opinions on how to hook up the HD signal from Direct TV and Blue Ray DVD player. Am I better off running the HDMI directly to the TV and then splitting off the sound with a digital audio cable? Or should I spend the money for a more expensive receiver and run the signal through the receiver and then to the TV.
