New member Username: CnbemisPost Number: 2 Registered: Mar-07 | Okay, so I'm not the first one with this issue, however I haven't read any conclusive solutions in my searches. I just bought the HL-S5687W 2 months ago. Great sound and picture. The only complaint I have is that the TV has started randomly shutting itself off. It shuts itself down, and the usual little dootle-eee-doo sounds play. I try turning it back on and this results in a one or two buzzing noises (lasting 2-3 seconds each) before the picture returns. When this happens, two lights () flash intermittently on the panel for several seconds. Could someone please tell me what is causing this? I read on another post (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/archive/index.php/t-776257.html) that it could be fixed by using a surge protector? Other posts indicate that calling Samsung is the only way to get this fixed. I don't have the extended warantee, however as I have only had the TV for two months, I think that someone out there needs to make this right. Ideas? Please help. |
