I bought a Emerson EWR10D4 DVD Recorder from Wal-Mart. Since I could not find R- 4X blank disks anymore, I heard the manufacturer would send you a firmware to upgrade the unit to record on R- 8X disks. I called them, they sent the firmware upgrade and I applied it. My problem is, I have video and audio issues using 8X disks. The movies I record sometimes have video out-of-sync issues (picture is clear but action occasionally speeds up/slows down for recorded shows, funny for my friends to watch but I do not like it). In addition, the audio is sometimes out-of-sync (sounds on recorded movies sooner or later than it is supposed to be). Can anyone help? Should I just find some R- 4X disks on-line and buy and use those only? Any other ideas? Unhappy in NC
