I own a DVD with Built-in 4-HEAD Mono VCR (model: DVW-7100A) I usually record programs off of the television that I am going to miss. On occasion, I will record one show, while watching another if they happen to be on at the same time. Since I bought this player, when I record I have to watch the channel/show that is being recorded and no other channels. For example. I'm recording a show on channel 12, it comes in through channel 3 and I only receive a picture on channel 3 of what is playing on 12 and can't use any other channels. I have to use a cable connection box because my tv is an older sanyo model. Is this the reason that I am unable to watch another channel while my tv is recording? Do I have the settings messed up? (because the manual says I should be able to record on one channel and then be watching another) Thanks for the help! :D
