I have seen some units in Fry's but they are never setup properly and the picture looks terrible. I suspect that with proper setup and inputs the unit is as good as everyone says. |

Lamps, lamp engines and other system boards are going out very early. My JVC hd61z786 is just over a year old and has already been through 2 lamps and now still waiting for repair on the lamp engine. I will never buy another JVC product. When it works, the picture is great, but so are some of the other brands. |

Having a voltage stabilizer and power backup system. Having both these with help keep the life on your bulb. Blackouts in your house while the tv is on can take 1,000's of hours off the life of the bulb, and any power fluxuation can take 100's of hours off. |

Most of them will be released by the end of the month, with possibly a couple of the models bleeding into the beginning of September. In the ever-evolving HDTV footchain, this new product will make you feel you want to trade in your 2006 model for this hottie. I saw this on the CES. It has deeper blacks than the FH97 I have. It is also quieter and quicker with turn on/off. Pac-2000 is already selling it. |
