Posted on Friday, March 07, 2003 - 19:25 GMT I think this is Band Pass Filter. This type of filter creates a broad band of high sensitivity with sudden and steep drop-offs of sensitivity to frequency above and below the "passband" or the desired frequencies. The steep, square shape would allow a tuner (or video filter) to be able to "see" everything it wants and reject EVERYTHING else.
