Problem #1 How do you record from the harddrive of a Satellite DVR (DishNetwork in this case)to a laptop dvd recorder?
Problem #2 I have a Toshiba Qosmio G25 AV513 which has a tv tuner and Windows Media Center. I can record some shows beautifully from the Satellite to my laptop but cannot copy them to dvd. It will say incorrect file type. Some shows do not even copy to the laptop at all. When I review the recording, it's not even snow, just blank space. Then still other shows record to the laptop and then to the dvd without any problem so I know that I do know how to do it. I follow exactly the same steps for each of the recordings so I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have S video, and then the regular red and white connections for audio. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
