I am STILL trying to convert all of my old VHS tapes to DVD and I have now run into a new problem. When I used Adaptecs VideOh! PCI card and MyDVD software I had no problem recording this one tape. Now that I have upgraded to MovieBox DV w/Studio 9, it will not capture the video for more than a few minutes because the tape is very jumpy. I have a few other tapes that are this way as well. All of these tapes were recorded in the late 80's so I know that I can't expect too much of them these days.

My question is wether or not a Video Stabilizer would help my situation. If so, which one is good. I really can't afford to spend too much on it so I don't want it to make breakfast for me.

As always, thanks for the help, I really appreciate it!

A stabilizer is only for tapes with macrovision, I don't think it will help. I have tapes that were recorded earlier than that and they still play fine. Software problem maybe?
