Does anyone know how, or if it is even possible, to record what is on a DVD onto the hard-drive of the DMR-E85H? I'm not talking about a regular store bought DVD video, but for example a dvd video I already burnt from my digital video camera. I can understand a store bought DVD would have copy right protections, but this is just a home video on DVD. I just want to pop that in the tray and record to the HD? Is this possible. Thanks in advance...

Yes, as long as it is a DVD-r.

DMR-85H does not turn off after using the timer to make a HDD recording. Also PLAY flashes on the unit.Thanks for any help.
