I just bought the Sony 60" KDF-WF655 and hooked up some Monster component cables between the TV and my DVD player. But when you play a DVD everything is "PINK". This only happens when playing a DVD. I can switch back to the TV channels and everything is ok. Is this due to bad component cables (which are brand new) or problem with new TV ? Thanks.

I would try the same DVD player and the same cables on another TV first. If it all looks normal, then it's more likely the TV, but if it still looks pink, then it's either the cables or DVD player, and then you should try switching DVD players and then cables one at a time. You also might want to try different inputs on the TV (like input 5 or input 6)?
