Coax cable to RCA

I'm looking to demodulate the signal from a single channel on a coax cable (after being modulated using a standard RF Modulator) back into componant rca cables. looking at the freq spectrum for typical tv signals on coax cable at this website: http://entertainment.howstuffworks.com/tv12.htm
it seems that i would just have to filter out the appropriate spectrums and pass it onto the proper cable. 2 questions come to mind tho. Does the tv's video rca input take the same signal as is on the coax cable? and 2 how would i go about splitting the audio signal back into stereo sound?

Any thoughts would be appreciated
Thanks
