Howdy, I recently decided I needed to update my home theater and embarked on piecing together one for my first time. I decided to use this receiver:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882117410
rated at 6-16 ohms & 80 watts per channel @ 8 ohms
I also picked up these speakers on sale which I thought would be suitable:

Now my question is will I be able to hook up these old Jamo 6DSUR's (2) as my rear channel surround with this receiver? On the back of the receiver it says 6-16 ohms which worries me since the speakers are rated at 4 ohms (and a considerable amount of wattage). I was thinking maybe wire them in series and keep an eye on my receiver? Please let me know your thoughts, comments or suggestions. Appreciate the insight and help

Chris, because you're not demanding your receiver to drive these 4 ohms to high levels as surround speakers, you'll be allright with them in the back. But not as main speakers in the front, as this would be too high a load for this little receiver..
