New to Home theater systems can someone help me out???

my rents are planning to buy a home theater from best buy. I dont know much about home theater what i should look for whats good brand price ect. ect.
here is what they are planning to get

3 of these FR FL and Center speaker.

and the Receiver i have heard reciever is the most important.

thats the set up there planning to get which comes out to a total of 3196.67 thats including instalation. This set up looks nice though i have no idea really. if you guys can give me some feed back it would help much. Though my parents really want the in the wall type speakers.

This is not a bad system. Speaker Craft is an ok in wall speaker and the AIM series are there better line. You could do better on the sub possible an HSU or Outlaw Audio sub. Some people like Yamaha, I don't, give me a Denon or a Pioneer over the Yamaha. The instalation must be a pretty penny to install the inceilings speakers.

we decided to go speakercraft aim 8 3s in the front and mid and aim 8 1s in the rear. we are having trouble choosing recievers denon is one that best buy has recommend to us the denon avr 1907 whihc is 550 ne other recommendations???

TheDenon 2307ci is the next step up which will give you HDMI video switching simpifing the connection to the TV 5 component and audio wires to 1 HDMI

I agree with Casey. Regardless of the best audio "match" with the Speakercrafts (hey, we're talking ceiling speakers here guys) a huge plus is complete upconversion of all composite, S-video and component video signals to the receiver's HDMI output. This simplifies installation and even more importantly, navigation of the home theater system.

That Klipsch subwoofer used to have a problem blowing fuses. I don't know if they still do. Check out HSU subs.
