Digital coaxial output on philips 50" plasma

hi there
im just about to purchase a 50" philips plasma from comet.co.uk

and was wondering when i connect my sky hd box through hdmi to the tv will i get 5.1 or similar through the digital coaxial output from my tv to my philips surround sound digital coaxial input? the reason i ask is that the sky hd box has opticaal output but unfortunately my surround doesnt have that input so im having to use the hdmi to tv then hopefully get the 5.1 or similar from tv to my surround. heres the link for the surround too, hope this helps

No, it will not take an audio signal through HDMI and output it through the digital coaxial output. The digital output on the tv is for when you hook up an antenna directly to the tv, it allows you to have surround sound if you wish.

That's one of the drawbacks of an all-in-one dvd surround system, they don't have very many inputs for hooking up other sources like a cable box or video game system.
